Warhammer 40K: Vindicator

Did a quick job over the new vindicator I acquired from the recently opened GW outlet in Publika. Wasn't exactly sure to proceed as a vindicator or to paint up as the 3rd Company's Rhino Lionheart. Decided to go with a vindicator since it is a new model for my collection and also I decided that the focus, if possible, should be geared more towards the 1st and 5th Company. Of course the Codex checklist will also be considered.

Storm bolter add on was from earlier works since I want to get something up and running right away.
I decided to adopt a more toned down green somewhat similar to my latest work on Traitor's End by reducing the edging to only Warpstone Glow instead of the finishing it with Moot Green. Also, no use of wash due to the white chalking residue on the greens from previous experience except for Agrax Earthshadeon the metal parts.

Simple yet very effective paint job. Well done!
I hear you on the chalking effects of wash. I seem to get whitish residues most of the times. I have started to use lahmian medium and/or Vallejo glazing mediums on acrylic paints to get the wash colour I want. Still, there are times when I'm super lazy hence the use of the regular wash.

One thing I noticed is that the use of water with the washes causes some chalking effect. Not only with washes but with very diluted paint (Caliban Green the last time it happened). Could be the reaction with water itself that is the cause since I am using tap water, not distilled.
